The number of international students has decreased at Wartburg College, with the global pandemic affecting the ability of some to come to the U.S. to study.

Wartburg College has lead a great change and impact in the Cedar Valley area and in the world and works as a channel to connect Cedar Valley with the rest of the world. December 2021 graduate, Namleng Sina is a great example for this change, impact and connection.

Twenty-eight new international students came to Wartburg College’s campus this fall.

International Club (I-Club) will host a COVID-19-safe Culture Week and Culture Show after the 2020 event was cancelled. The Culture Show and Culture Week will both be held in person following campus safety guidelines for COVID-19.

Since 1980, “Friendship families,” provided homes away from home to international Wartburg students. For many, the relationships have extended beyond the four years students spend at Wartburg.

Despite the effects of COVID-19 on travel, international enrollment has remained consistent at Wartburg.
