PHOTOGRAPHER’S FOREWORD: Members of the Waverly community hosted Pam Egli, district 32 candidate for the Iowa Senate, on Sunday at Kohlmann Park in Waverly, IA. Starting at 2 p.m., members held signs supporting the Black Lives Matter movement and protesting the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man shot and wounded in Kenosha, Wisconsin, before Egli spoke at 3 p.m. The group has met every Sunday beginning in June at the corner of Bremer Avenue and 1st Street NW.The protest was held in affiliation with Black Lives Matter to Bremer County

Individuals gathered at Kohlmann Park in Waverly to protest the death of Jacob Blake, a Black man shot and wounded by a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and to hear Pam Egli, district 32 candidate for Iowa Senate, speak.
