THE TRUMPET STAFF
The Wartburg Trumpet on Wednesday, April 1, was chosen to receive the 2019-2020 Outstanding Organization Award at Wartburg College. This annual award is given to a college-recognized group, which has used successful leadership techniques to advance its organization.
“I am incredibly honored and proud of everyone who has contributed to the Trumpet,” Silvia Oakland, editor-in-chief, said. “To be recognized by our peers as an organization that is improving leadership opportunities on campus is amazing and I am grateful for everyone’s hard work and dedication to this publication.”
The Outstanding Organization Award is part of Wartburg’s Leadership and Service Awards intended to recognize students, advisors and organizations who have displayed exceptional character, according to Lindsey Leonard, director of student engagement.
