Wartburg College will hold its annual Culture Week at the end of March. Culture Week is a week-long course of various events and activities sponsored by International Club (I-Club) that gives students a chance to explore peers from diverse backgrounds.
“We want to share the stories of all around the world,” Fillonie Debully, vice-president of I-Club, said.
The theme for Culture Week 2020 is One World, Many Stories.
“The whole week we’ll be telling stories from each individual’s perspective. The week will be telling our stories in different forms.”
KELLY UWANJYE, I-CLUB SECRETARY
Events that will be hosted throughout the week include a Culture Party with the collaboration of Spanish And Latinx Student Association (SALSA) and Asian Student Association (ASA) on March 23, a Trivia Knight on March 24, crafts, henna and games around the world on March 26.
The week will finish with the annual Culture Show and an after-party event.
“All those cool things that we have been preparing all year. Friday is
the main day and Monday is going to be the introduction day,” Uwanjye said. “It’s important to attend Monday’s event because it’s going to guide you on all that’s happening throughout the week.”
