Entertainment ToKnight (ETK) is a Wartburg student organization that presents events during the academic year. Events provide a break from daily tasks and include concerts, bingo and painting.
“We have events that we bring to campus, like an artist or a performer and typically we get those from NACA [National Association for Campus Activities] which is our national conference that we go to every year,” Danielle Gerlach, fourthyear student and ETK co-president, said. “We talk to people who perform and pick people that the Wartburg community would like.”
Pinterest Knight was one activity suggested at NACA, while Trivia Knights were an original idaea. ETK hosts a large event every other year, most recently the award-winning pop rock act All-American Rejects in October 2018.
“Depending on when our events are, [we] either plan a week, two weeks, sometimes even three weeks out for the next event so we stay on top of things, [such as] looking at due dates and timings for posters, table tents and things like that,” Gerlach said. ETK has worked to create a general member team to work with the executive team on future events.
